I haven’t handled the new chemo therapy treatment very well although I am certain something that can make you feel that unwell most be doing the cancer some terrific damage.

It’s now a week and a half after I completed the first session of R-ICE (which takes 4 days to administer) and I still feel terrible inbetween periods where I can sense an improvement. At least the ‘sickness’ is over and I can eat again. Overall it’s been pretty rough and mostly all I’ve wanted to do is lie still and watch terrible TV or sleep. Hence the absence from online activity.

To make matters worse the weather is becoming glorious. I don’t think people really understand when I tell them that I am a winter person and prefer the snow and the cold to the unbearable heat of summer I the inner city. It wouldn’t be so bad if I was near the coast or at least near a big expanse of water but I live in Walthamstow in London.

I do hope the doctors are right and I only need two sessions of this stuff. And these are only drugs! I can’t begin to think how bad radio therapy must be or how they treated cancer in the old days. I am hoping that I don’t find out.
